The story of the Hughes family begins in Boston, Massachusetts with Padraig and Moira Hughes. Their sons, Patrick and Donal take very different paths in life. The books in the series, 2nd & 3rd Chances, focus on the lives of the brothers’ children as they tackle life’s challenges and pursue their dreams.
Playlists related to the books
Music plays an important role in the books in the series. As I wrote the stories, I thought about songs that fit the moment and put together playlists for the books. When I listen to the songs, I retrace the characters' paths professionally and personally. Some songs are mentioned in the books and others represent how a character is feeling. There are some songs on the playlist I could imagine the bands, Second Chance or Banshee, actually playing.
